MOVIE REVIEWS

Donald Faison leaves his SCRUBS and the halls of Sacred Heart Hospital behind for this starring role as a pot-smoking delivery man. Leo Jackson (Faison) isn't exactly a model employee; even though he works for his mother (who is also his landlady), Leo and his shoddy work ethic have him in danger of being fired. But that's nothing compared to the on-the-job hazards when he accidentally drops off a hefty amount of coke at the wrong address. "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" tells the story of Wolverine's epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe. Armed with the latest high-tech spy equipment, a covert team of highly trained guinea pigs discover that the fate of the world is in their paws. Tapped for the G-FORCE are guinea pigs Darwin, the squad leader determined to succeed at all costs; Blaster, an outrageous weapons expert with tons of attitude and a love for all things extreme; and Juarez, a sexy martial arts pro; plus the literal fly-on-the-wall reconnaissance expert Mooch, and a star-nosed mole Speckles, the computer and information specialist. Japanese cinema has dominated the third Asian Film Awards, with "Tokyo Sonata" winning best picture and Hirokazu Koreeda named best director for another family drama, "Still Walking." With its 40% dropout rate, the northeast Philadelphia high school in PRESSURE COOKER isn't exactly known for its academic success. But the Culinary Arts teacher, Wilma Stephenson, is on a one-woman mission to change that. This documentary follows three of her students as they struggle to balance Mrs. Stephenson's difficult course with their own personal challenges, knowing that the successful students could earn huge scholarships to prestigious cooking schools.
